Description: The path to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is multi-faceted and calls on organizations and providers to commit to action. This is particularly important for social care providers who develop and implement initiatives to reduce social risk factors and address social needs, often working with marginalized populations including people with disabilities, low-income individuals, and older adults. Not attending to DEI factors risks missing meaningful opportunities for improving people's health and quality of life and exacerbating inequitable outcomes.
This webinar will review common approaches to DEI efforts, introduce approaches to focusing on DEI, and define important strategies for making programming and care management inclusive and effective with diverse populations.
